Uruguay: PepsiCo plant plans to consolidate sales of concentrates to the entire region

The PepsiCo plant in Colonia, inaugurated in March 2023, currently produces concentrates for 10 billion liters of soft drinks, which allows it to supply 23 markets in Latin America.

In Colonia, the multinational PepsiCo has its concentrate plant for the production of beverages, a business that projects growth. In 2023, the company invoiced more than 670 million dollars through its production hub in Colonia, and the company authorities expect that this year it will close with an income exceeding 710 million. This was reported by Martín Chacin, director of the Pepsico Manufacturing Operations Plant. Since 2021, an investment plan has been implemented at the manufacturing plant that has so far reached about 60 million euros to increase production capacity and implement new technologies to optimize costs.
