According to the report, the production of these beverages has seen an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, where beer and wine have been the categories with the greatest growth. Beer production increased by 6.0 percent, while dry wine rose by 8.5 percent.
However, not all categories of alcoholic beverages have shown a positive trend. Rum, a traditionally popular drink in Panama, has seen a significant decrease of 32.3 percent. Gin production also fell by 6.1 percent, while vodka and whisky saw even sharper declines, down 73.4 percent and 76.6 percent respectively. Cognac also saw a 36.5 percent decline.
