According to the report, the production of these beverages has seen an increase of 4.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, where beer and wine have been the categories with the greatest growth. Beer production increased by 6.0%, while dry wine rose by 8.5%.
However, not all categories of alcoholic beverages have shown a positive trend. Rum, a traditionally popular drink in Panama, has seen a significant decrease of 32.3%. Gin production also fell by 6.1%, while vodka and whisky saw even sharper declines, down 73.4% and 76.6% respectively. Cognac also saw a 36.5% decline.
