The Brazilian beer industry supports 2.5 million direct and indirect jobs, according to new data released by Sindicerv during the Brazilian Beer Technology Fair. Sindicerv represents 85% of Brazil’s beer companies and highlighted the sector's significant contribution to the national economy.
Beer production accounts for 2% of Brazil’s GDP and generates €8 billion in taxes across the production chain. With 1,847 registered breweries across the country, Brazil ranks as the third-largest beer producer in the world, behind China and the United States.
