Argentina: Gin will continue to grow thanks to premium categories

Argentina's gin market continues its upward trend, with growth increasingly driven by premium and super-premium segments, according to a new report by Maximise Market Research. The country now has more than 450 gin brands, a dramatic increase from over 300 before the pandemic, aligning with global consumption patterns.

Over the past five years, gin consumption in Argentina has grown by 27.5%, and demand has remained stable. Cocktails such as gin and tonics, Negronis, and Martinis have played a key role in its popularity, while aged and luxury gins are gaining traction among discerning consumers in bars, hotels, and private settings.

The rise of artisanal gin production has been particularly notable. A number of independent producers, unaffiliated with international beverage conglomerates, have strengthened their position through focused marketing strategies, helping shape local consumer preferences and establishing Argentina as an emerging player in the global gin scene.
