Argentina: 2025 begins with growth in wine sales

According to a study by the National Institute of Viticulture (INV), wine sales in Argentina rose 10% in January 2025, despite a slight decline in exports. This follows a 1.2% drop in total sales at the end of 2024.

In January 2025, 550,000 hectoliters of wine were sold in the domestic market, with red wines driving growth—accounting for 75% of total sales and increasing by 20%. In contrast, white wine sales declined 12.7%.

Among wine categories, generic wines, which make up 70% of total sales, grew 7% over the past year. Bottled wine, the most popular format at 60% of total sales, saw a 13% increase.
