United States: Diageo North America announces new plant construction in Alabama

As part of its efforts to build a more efficient supply network, Diageo North America has announced plans to construct a new manufacturing and warehousing facility in Montgomery, Alabama. The 100,000-square-meter site will have an annual production capacity of several million cases of Diageo’s leading spirits brands, enhancing supply chain operations and supporting future export growth.

The Diageo Montgomery facility will establish a key operational hub closer to the company's beverage distributors in the southern region, helping to reduce road logistics costs.

"We are proud to contribute to Montgomery’s economic development and deeply grateful to the city, state, and community leaders for their continued support. This investment underscores our commitment to strengthening supply chain resilience across North America," said Marsha McIntosh, president of North America Supply at Diageo.

With an investment of approximately €400 million, development of Diageo Montgomery is already underway, with full operations expected to begin in the second half of 2025.
