Building on its silver medal from last year, GNT has achieved a gold rating for the first time, with an impressive score of 78 out of 100. This result positions the company in the 97th percentile of food manufacturing businesses assessed by EcoVadis, a leading provider of sustainability ratings.
Key contributors to this achievement included GNT’s transparent environmental reporting, evidenced by its independent Greenhouse Gas Verification Statement, and its proactive measures to improve employee well-being, training, and working conditions. New policies, such as a whistleblower-supportive Code of Conduct, further enhanced its performance.
The company has also made strides in its broader sustainability goals, reducing carbon intensity at its Exberry® production facilities by 22 percent since 2020 and improving water efficiency by 13 percent. With 74 percent of its contract farmers achieving a minimum of Farm Sustainability Assessment silver standard, GNT demonstrates a commitment to sustainability throughout its supply chain.
“This gold medal underscores the sustainable excellence of Exberry® colors and our dedication to ethical practices,” said Rutger de Kort, Sustainability Manager at GNT. “It’s a testament to our progress and a benchmark that helps us support our customers’ sustainability goals.”
