Chile: Wine Exports Rise in September

Chile's Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (ODEPA) reported that wine exports in September reached 59 million liters, totaling €110 million. This marks an increase of 18% in volume and 11% in value compared to September 2023.

Of the total exports, 28.3 million liters were wines with designation of origin, valued at €85 million. According to ODEPA, these figures reflect a 10.6% rise in volume and a 9.6% increase in value. The average price in this category was €2.97 per liter, down 0.9% from the previous year.

Bulk wine exports also saw growth in September, with 25.7 million liters exported at a value of €17 million, an increase of 33.4% in volume and 8.8% in value over September 2023. For the January–September period of 2024, total wine exports rose by 17.3% in volume and 5.6% in value compared to the same period in 2023, indicating sustained growth in Chile's wine export sector.
