This initiative has an initial investment of 25 million euros and is based on the implementation of renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, and packaging recycling. Heineken Spin is born with the objective of generating positive results from its first year, with expectations of double-digit annual revenue growth. On the renewable energy front, Heineken has an agreement from 2021 with Ultragaz and Raízen to promote the use of clean energy.
If Brazil succeeds in meeting its targets, it will contribute significantly to Heineken's overall results, with the company aiming to neutralize its carbon emissions across the value chain by 2040. "Some years of studies and discussions have led us to Spin, which now embodies our desire to ensure that growth and positive impact move together. With the initial learnings and results from this ecosystem, we hope that new companies, directly or indirectly linked to the sector, can join us to inspire solutions that are good for business and, above all, better for the planet", concludes Mauro Homem, Vice President of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Heineken Brazil.
