Argentina: Quilmes Brewery and Malting Company reports record exports

Quilmes Brewery and Malting Company recorded €420 million in exports in 2024, marking a 10% increase compared to 2023, according to its latest annual report. The company also surpassed one million tons of grain exports for the first time, representing a 30% increase from the 820,000 tons exported in 2023. Barley exports rose by 31%, while malt exports increased by 27%.

Argentina has strengthened its role in the region, becoming South America's main supplier of barley and malt, and placing Quilmes among the country's top ten exporters.

In terms of finished products, beer exports rose 65%. The company began exporting Budweiser to Chile and Quilmes to Australia, while also expanding its footprint in Japan. In 2025, it aims to enter new markets including Canada, Mexico, and Ecuador.

Exports of soft drinks and sports drinks also grew significantly, rising 230% year-on-year. This growth was driven by the first-time export of three Gatorade varieties to Brazil, with additional shipments planned for Brazil and Uruguay in 2025.
