Colombia: Bavaria invests in two large production plants and creates new jobs

Until December of this year, Cervecería Bavaria stated that it will have two new plants: the new Cervecería del Atlántico in Palmar de Varela and the traditional Cervecería Aguila in Barranquilla.

During the construction stage of the new plant, approximately 2,000 jobs will be created and subsequently, during its start-up, around 800 direct and indirect jobs will be created. For its part, the factory located in the historic center of Barranquilla, which generates around 1,000 jobs, will continue producing Águila beers. The company's great commitment seeks to promote the generation of local employment, contribute to the progress of communities and boost the economy of this region. “This expansion into the Atlantic is a testament to our belief in the potential of the region and its people. At the end of this year we will have two brewing plants, which increase our capacity to continue accompanying the celebrations of the Caribbean region and the country,” said Sergio Rincón, president of Bavaria in the statement. The Cervecería del Atlántico will be built following high environmental standards, managing to supply itself with renewable electrical energy from non-conventional sources since its start-up.
