Chile: Coca-Cola invests more than €30 million in its new recycling plant

Coca-Cola Chile has invested €32 million in the construction of an industrial recycling plant in the town of Lampa, located approximately 40 kilometers from the capital of Santiago.

This facility, called Re-ciclar, has the capacity to process more than 350 million plastic bottles, which marks a milestone in the company's efforts to promote the circular economy in Chile. Soledad Mella, president of the National Association of Recyclers of Chile, expressed her satisfaction with this project.

The Re-ciclar plant, jointly managed by Coca-Cola Andina and Coca-Cola Embonor, represents a unique initiative in Chile for the production of beverage containers with food-grade recycled material.

Coca-Cola Andina is responsible for bottling Coca-Cola products in the Metropolitan Region, while Coca-Cola Embonor covers regions such as Valparaíso, La Araucanía, Magallanes, Arica and Antofagasta.
