SEW-Eurodrive acquires 34% stake in BBH Products

SEW-Eurodrive, one of the world's leading providers of drive and automation technology, has acquired a 34% stake in BBH Products. BBH Products will continue to operate independently in the market as a provider of functional safety solutions, serving both existing and new customers without change.

SEW-Eurodrive and BBH Products place great value on partnerships focused on innovation and technological advancement. The recently signed agreement marks another significant step in this direction and underscores the shared commitment of both companies to technological progress and safe solution concepts.

BBH Products, based in Weiden in eastern Bavaria, offers a wide range of products and solutions in the field of functional safety for various industries such as plant automation, automotive, mechanical engineering, robotics and logistics. For company founder Gerhard Bauer, this partnership is a significant milestone: "Through the collaboration with SEW-Eurodrive, we can combine our strengths to develop innovative and safe comprehensive solutions. This cooperation allows us to expand our market presence and offer even better solutions with worldwide support to our customers." With the entry of his son, Nicolas Bauer, into the management team, simultaneously the generational change at BBH Products is being initiated.

Dr. Hans Krattenmacher, Managing Director of Innovation Mechatronics at SEW-Eurodrive, looks forward to the future opportunities: "This partnership enables SEW-Eurodrive to market and produce all relevant products from BBH Products under our brand label. From now on, we will jointly define and develop further solutions and collaborate intensively in production."
