Pirrone, a seasoned expert in European policy, trade, and packaging, takes on the role at a crucial time for the container glass industry as it faces challenges in competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability within the EU's evolving policy framework.

FEVE President Martin Petersson welcomed Pirrone’s appointment, highlighting his strategic vision and leadership as key assets in navigating industry challenges. He also expressed gratitude to Adeline Farrelly for her years of dedication and impactful leadership.
Pirrone previously served as Director of the Brussels office for Seda International Packaging Group and held key positions in Europen and BusinessEurope. He holds a master’s degree from Bocconi University and is fluent in four languages.
Outgoing Secretary General Farrelly expressed confidence in the transition, praising Pirrone’s expertise and the strong team at FEVE.
