Based in Granada, Spain, where its main facilities employ over 200 people, Thielmann Portinox has operated for more than 60 years. Since 2016, it has been part of the Heritage B holding under the Thielmann brand. The company is renowned for its high-performance stainless steel containers, including beverage kegs, pressure vessels, hazardous storage drums, and aseptic intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). In addition to its core operations in Granada, Thielmann services keg fleets in Spain and the UK and maintains a presence through local teams in England, France, Germany, and the United States.
For Irestal Group, the acquisition supports its strategy of industrial integration and expansion into strategic markets. “This acquisition strengthens our industrial and logistical capabilities and opens up new opportunities in strategic markets and sectors,” said Joaquim Boixareu, president and CEO of Irestal Group.
Thielmann also sees the transaction as a key opportunity to accelerate growth and enhance competitiveness. “This new chapter will strengthen our position as a global leader in stainless steel containers,” said Alberto Borque, managing director in Spain and COO at Thielmann. “Together with Irestal, we are well positioned to grow stronger and continue to deliver world-class solutions to our customers around the globe.”
