According to state government data, since 2020, companies in the beer industry have invested around 900 million euros in the state. In addition to investments in the beer industry, Paraná is also the country's largest producer of barley and malt. The largest malt plant in Latin America was recently opened in Ponta Grossa, the result of a partnership between six cooperatives.
